It was another Friday night at the bar and it was slow, maybe ten people, if that, but it was early. I made sure everyone was taken care of drink wise, and started to play a game of darts with Nutty and Warthog (don't ask, I don't know how they got their nicknames). We just finished the game, they settled back in their regular bar stools and I went back behind the bar when who should come walking through the door but my buddy, Birdie. No guessing Kris' underwear today, as his sidekick, Stinky, wasn't with him. But what would happen was something completely unexpected and could blind a person for life. Birdie sees Warthog and, as he walks past him, he starts to say, "I've got something for you, you SOB!". He gets about ten yards away, has his back to the rest of us, and drops his drawers. Everyone starts to hoop and holler, but all I could think of was, "My eyes, my eyes!! I'm blinded for life!!" Birdie stood for at least five seconds, pulls his pants up, looks directly at me and says, "I hope you didn't see that little lady." I said, "Yes, I did....and I wish I hadn't."
I need to note here, Birdie was friends with everyone. It was non stop laughter whenever he or Stinky were around. You weren't laughing at them, you were laughing with them. If you ever needed anything, they would be the first in line to help you out. They had hearts of gold and would give you the shirt off their back! You may not want it, but they would offer it.
